GUADALUPE STREET, RAILYARD DISTRICT, BACA STREET ARTS DISTRICT
These three contiguous areas may be explored by foot. Here you will discover an energy of a changing Santa Fe, one that embodies contemporary sensibilities within the city’s historic context. This is the part of town with an urban edge, even as it remains a work in progress. The anchors, the Rail Runner commuter train within the old Railyard and the burgeoning Santa Fe Farmers’ Market and Railyard Artisan Market, make this an especially enjoyable area to explore. Weekends experience the newly-installed Santa Fe Artists Market stroll with the entrance adjacent to Site Santa Fe. Several of Santa Fe’s leading contemporary galleries are located here, including James Kelly Contemporary at 1611 Paseo de Peralta, Charlotte Jackson Fine Art at 554 S. Guadalupe St., and LewAllen Galleries at 1613 Paseo de Peralta. William Siegal Galleries, with ancient and contemporary art and textiles, is at 540 S. Guadalupe St.
